THE GIFT OF TIME

The gift of time is the most valuable gift we have, and can give
to others!  It comes packaged in so many ways.
Time is a commodity we can never get back once it has passed,
so it is imperative that we use it wisely.

There are different types of time, the three most important are:
Time For Others
Time For Us
Time For God

In this fast-paced and hectic world we live in, extra time can seem scarce.  We become so entwined in our own worlds, that we can lose touch with the needs of others.  A crisis can occur, such as losing a loved one, and we will wish we had spent extra time with that person.

Giving of your time is an expression of extreme generosity
and compassion.  It is a commodity that costs nothing, and yet
reaps huge benefits and rewards.
Allocating time for others is but one important step in the effective
management of our lives.

Spending time with ourselves is important to a healthy mind and body.
Reading, making crafts, or working on a favourite hobby allows us to use the special gifts we have and helps to reduce the stress we battle.  It is
fulfilling and can be a source of delight in our daily lives.
Taking care of our bodies is an important as spending time with ourselves.
Eating healthy, sleeping, and exercise is time well spent.

Spiritual replenishment is important to our psychological and intellectual well being.  Taking time out for God helps us to sort out priorities and can give us enormous strength in the face of adversity.  It gives us an inner peace that may seem so out of reach.  It renews our faith, and strengthens our personality.
It gives us hope and focus for the future.

Time is measurable!  We can benefit from properly managing it so we can experience a healthy balance in our lives.  When we have a healthy balance
in our own lives, everyone benefits, and our relationship with
God will surely grow.
